

MARINO, ELIZABETH (BETTY SERON) Elizabeth (Betty Seron) Marino of Clinton died Thursday, April 4th, at the age of 100. Elizabeth was born July 9, 1912 in New York City, the daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth Muller. She spent her life (lives) in New York City; Santiago and Valparaiso, Chile, SA; and Clinton, CT. She was predeceased by her spouses Ernest Blake of California, Joseph Seron of New York, Gennaro Marino of Connecticut, and her dear friend Napoleon Martineau of Clinton. She was also predeceased by four of her children Deborah Seron, Ernest Jacob Blake, Julie Blake Mulqueen, and Jacqueline Seron-Anderton. She is survived by two sons: Robert Blake of Argentina and George Seron of Clinton, CT; two daughters: RoseMarie Seron of NY and Gloria Seron of NY; five grandchildren, and one great-grandson. A resident of Clinton since 1957, Betty was employed at Chesebrough-Pond's in the Prince Matchabelli Department from which she retired in 1976. She raised her children on Ironworks Road and Palmer Terrace; then resided at the Presidential Apartments, Lafayette Green, Tidelawn Residential Care Facility in Westbrook, and most recently at the Watrous Nursing Center in Madison. She was a member of St. Mary's R.C. Church in Clinton. She was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with her many friends.
