

Ella F. (Pecci) Vallochi, 90, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 24, 2014, in Clinton, CT.
She was born on October 8, 1923 in Grosseto, Italy to the late Artemia (Turacchi) and Amadeo Pecci.
Ella was living in Germany, during World War II, when she met the late Colonel Anthony J. Vallochi, USAR (Ret.) They were married for 47 years, until his death in 1995. Her husband’s career in the military took them to several locations in the United States and to Europe and Asia. They retired in West Long Branch, NJ in 1970. Ella relocated to CT in 2007.
Ella loved to travel. For many years, she was a member of the Gray Lady volunteer service of the American Red Cross. She was a talented cook, seamstress, and gardener. She was known for her sense of humor.
Ella is survived by three children and their spouses: Robert and Lynda Vallochi of Santa Fe, Texas; Angela and Thomas Duguid of Crieff, Scotland; and Janet and Jason Calfo of Madison, CT.
She also is survived by six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be sent to the American Diabetes Association.
Burial will be held at Arlington National Cemetery.
