Gail Louise Bergen Staniforth

Gail L. Staniforth, age 60, of Killingworth passed away on Thursday, July 15, 2010. She was born in New Haven on December 29, 1949 to the late William and Ruth Bergen. Gail resided in Orange for 28 years and Killingworth for 30. She is a graduate of Amity Regional High School, Western Connecticut State College, Vinal Regional Technical School, and Excelsior College. Gail was employed by Connecticut Valley Hospital in Middletown as a Registered Nurse in Addiction Services. She is a member of the Killingworth Community Gardens, and Jazzercise of Killingworth. Gail is survived by her husband Peter Staniforth, her daughter Sharon Staniforth of Killingworth her son Kevin Staniforth and fiancee’ Elizabeth Abt of Virginia, her sister Karen (Michael) Major of Hart Michigan, as well as many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother William Bergen. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 21 at 11:00 AM at Swan Funeral Home, 825 Boston Post Road, Madison. Friends may call on Tuesday, July 20 from 5 PM to 7 PM.
