Geneva W. Evans

Geneva W. Evans, 89, of Madison, loving wife of the late Wilbur B. Evans, passed away August 28, 2013 at Yale New Haven Hospital. Born on October 6, 1923, on the family farm near Breman KS, she is daughter of the late Friedrich and Emma (Crome) Lauterbach.

Geneva leaves behind her children Donald Evans and his wife Denise of Herndon, VA, Karen Finkel and her husband William of Fairfax Station, VA and Robert Evans and his wife Katherine of Guilford, CT; grandchildren Jeremy, Breyn, Emily and Dylan and one great granddaughter Lorelei. She also leaves behind her sister DeLora Drinkgern of Breman, KS.

A member of the Tabor Lutheran Church in Branford, Geneva was also an avid gardener and won several first class ribbons at the Durham Fair over the years. She and her husband had lived in many different states before making their permanent residence I n Madison over 38 years ago. She was a wonderful baker and a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
