Born in New Jersey, he spent most of his life in Pennsylvania where he graduated from Owen J. Roberts High School, Northampton Community College, and DeSales University. He retired from Allentown State Hospital after working many years as both an aide and registered nurse for the Commonwealth of PA.
He moved to Connecticut in 2015, where he became an ambassador at Cedar Woods Retirement Community. He enjoyed assisting other residents. He started a weekly community store and would shop for residents who could not easily get out to shop, picking up frequently needed or requested toiletries or snacks. He also enjoyed helping staff with setting up rooms for events, assisting in Sunday church services, delivering newspapers, and transporting residents who were using wheelchairs.
He was the son of the late Howard and Barbara Luckenbach. He is survived by his daughter Jenna Stana (Matt), a grandson, his siblings Keith (Carol), Ellen Moomaw (David), and Beth (Kathleen Carey), two nieces, three nephews, and their collective loving children.
