He was born on September 21, 1943, in Pittsburgh, PA, the son of Edmund Alexander Huminski and Leona Camilla (Krzyminski) Huminski.
"Kenny" graduated from University of Connecticut after East Haven High School and was a member of the Chi Phi Fraternity there. Throughout his life he worked in the used car business, where he loved the camaraderie, coached little league sports, played softball at surf club with his friends, brothers, nephew Louis Mastrachio (brother of niece Luann Carbone) and sons, loved the beach, music, making meatballs and especially being in the company of family, which he often was. No one could resist his charming personality and it brought a smile to your face every time you were with him. He brought love and laughter into the hearts of so many, including his beloved friends and family, who will forever feel his loss.
He is survived by his sons and their spouses Tim and Suzie of Madison and Eric and Kim of Guilford; siblings Joyce Mastrachio, Nancy Hartzell, Barry and Michael Huminski; grandchildren Eric, Noah, Heather, Edmund and Mary; and his ex wife Peggy Huminski of Madison.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, August 25th from 2-4pm at Swan Funeral Home, 825 Boston Post Rd., Madison. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, August 26th at 10am in St. Margaret Church, Academy St., Madison. Burial will follow at All Saints Cemetery, North Haven.
