Kevin brought joy to those around him. He loved spending time with family and friends and enjoyed celebrating life’s moments, big and small. He especially liked being around kids and black labs and his presence always added a bit of brightness to the day. He had an adventurous spirit and a natural ease with people, always ready for a conversation and quick to make a connection. To Kevin, no one was ever really a stranger.
In 1968, at just 17, Kevin enlisted in the United States Navy and went on to attend Submarine School. It was the height of the Cold War, and he quickly learned to navigate complex technical systems, manage pressure, and work closely with others in a confined, high-risk environment. His service was recognized with the National Defense Service Medal.
After his time in the Navy, Kevin carried his discipline and curiosity into his professional life. He became the owner of New England Radio and Moon Roof Inc., a lively and innovative Connecticut company. It was a venture he poured himself into and one of which he remained especially proud.
He leaves a loving legacy in his wife, Nancy; his son, Spencer, and daughter-in-law, Becky; and in his grandson, Sonny— the light of his life.
The family wishes to thank the professional nurses and physicians at The Yale Smilow Hospital.
