Lavern Elizabeth Marsh, age 91, wife of the late John Henry Marsh passed away on January 10, 2019 after a brief illness.

Lavern was born October 22, 1927 in Newark, New Jersey where she married John Henry Marsh of Karney New Jersey on July 26, 1947 being married 57 happy years upon his passing on February 9, 2004.

Lavern was an administrative assistant to the Principal at Saint John Vianney Catholic School in Colonia, New Jersey for over 10 years. She was also a member of the Knights of Columbus and The Elks.

She presently resided at The Hearth at Tuxis Pond in Madison, CT for the past 9 years. Lavern was always beautifully dressed with her makeup and coordinating jewelry. Lavern will be most remembered for her grace and dignity always. She was well loved by everyone who knew her.

She is survived by two children, Gary John Marsh of Jacksonville, FL and Carol Sinclair and her spouse David of Naples, FL. She also leaves behind two granddaughters, Heather Mae Sinclair of Madison, CT and Allison Carol Bauer and her spouse Matthew of Madison, CT; two grandsons, Ryan Marsh and his wife Katherine of Jacksonville, FL and Connor Marsh of Jacksonville, FL; 7 great grandchildren, Dillon Roberts, Jake Roberts, Wyatt Roberts, Sam Bauer, Taylor Bauer, Mackenzie Bauer and Channing Marsh.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Lavern's name to the Connecticut Humane Society, 701 Russell Rd., Newington, CT 06111.
