Lucia "Luci" Chudwick

June 4, 1950 – November 8, 2025

Lucia “Luci” Chudwick, 75, of Madison, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2025.

Born on June 4, 1950, in Brooklyn, New York, to the late Mario and Theresa Cariello, Luci grew up in West Haven, CT surrounded by family and friends.

Luci was married to her beloved husband, Ron Chudwick, for just over 55 years. Together they built a beautiful life in Madison, where they raised their family and created countless memories over nearly five decades.

Luci was deeply devoted to her family and found her greatest joy in caring for those she loved. She especially loved cooking and baking, always filling her home with the comforting aroma of delicious meals and sweet treats made from the heart. Her three grandchildren were the light of her life — she was endlessly proud of Samuel, Jonas, and Lucia (Luci) Markovitz and treasured the time spent with them. Whether cheering from the sidelines at their various sports games or sharing family moments, Luci’s love was constant and unconditional.

Luci is survived by her husband, Ron; her son, Ron Chudwick Jr.; her daughter, Dana Markovitz, and son-in-law, Marc; and her adored grandchildren, Samuel, Jonas, and Lucia (Luci) Markovitz. She is also survived by her sister, Vincenza Tinari of East Haven.

She was predeceased by her sister, Viviana Tindell, and her brother, Mario Cariello, Jr.

Luci will be remembered for her kindness, unwavering love for her family, and her wonderful sense of humor. The legacy of the importance of family that she cherished so deeply will be carried on by those who loved her.

Calling hours will be held at Swan Funeral Home, located at 825 Boston Post Road, Madison, CT, 06443, on Friday, November 14, 2025, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.

The funeral service will follow at the same location at 12:00 pm.

Burial will take place at West Cemetery, Jannas Ln, Madison, Connecticut.
