A gift from God above.
She showered us with kindness
And shared with us her love
On January 2025, our dear mother, Maureen “Moe” Mulvey Scheppach passed away peacefully with her family by her side. She was 83. She leaves her three sons—Douglas (Trudy), Christopher “Quippy,” and Mark (Jeanette); also, two brothers—Dan (Nancy) and Mark (Anne). She was predeceased by her husband Douglas and by her significant other, Edward Tautkus. She leaves three grandchildren, Neal, Dakota, and Tristin.
She loved her children dearly,
Each one a different way.
Nestled close within her heart,
Though now she’s far away.
Moe personified the rabid Uconn Women’s Basketball fan, putting everything aside when the game began. Moe loved baseball and football too.
Moe graduated from Daniel Hand High School, class of 1959 and then attended nursing school. She worked tirelessly as a nursery nurse at St. Raphael’s. Later on, she specialized in home health care, helping the elderly.
Moe loved living in Florida during some winters and then visiting with Brother Mark. Bill’s Seafood was favorite haunt and when the topic of fishing ever came up, she was always ready to go and out fish everyone.
She’s gone to live with Jesus.
But, she’s her with us, today.
Smiling down on every one of us,
And telling us she’s OK.
A mass of remembrance is on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at 11:00, St. Margaret Church in Madison.
