Patricia Brundrett, 78, of Madison peacefully passed away at Middlesex Hospital May 6, 2022. She was born Aug. 24, 1943, in West Springfield, MA the only daughter of the late Francis Daly and Helen (Luby) Daly. A devoted wife and mother, she resided in Madison for over 40 years with her loving husband of 52 years, Laurence F. Brundrett, Jr.
A long-time resident of Madison, she worked in Madison schools, cafeteria and the before and after school programs. She also worked over 20 years at Middlesex Hospital as a lab tech. She was a parishioner of St. Margaret’s Church where she taught religious education for over 30 years and was involved in the Women’s Fellowship there. She was also a member of the Madison VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She was always active in the lives of her children and was a long time Girl Scout leader. She was a lifetime member of the Luby Family Association where she leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She loved spending time with them especially at the Luby family reunion and in the place she loved the most, the Luby Cottage.
She is survived by her children, Kevin Brundrett of New Haven, Julie Mendez (Orlando) of Clinton, Matthew Brundrett (Jill Paget) of Los Angeles, CA., and Mark Brundrett (Andrea) of Clinton. In addition, she leaves behind three grandchildren that she loved so very much, Alison Brundrett, Luis Mendez and Otto Brundrett. She is also survived by her brother Frederick Daly of Mendon, MA.; her dear friend who was like a sister to her, Janis Shepard (Ernest) of S. Weymouth, MA.; her brother-in-law, Alan Brundrett (Karen) of Plano, TX; and her sisters-in-law, Dawn LaBarre (Jean) of Southwick, MA., Eliane Czapienski (John) of Chicopee, MA, Marcia Bamber of Ludlow, MA, Heather Pereira of Ludlow, MA and Cynthia Brundrett (Ted Bryant) of Newbury, NH. She was predeceased by her brothers, Stephen Daly (Sandra) of Schenectady, NY., Francis Daly (Joan) of Agawam, MA., David Daly of New York and her sister-in-law, Roberta Brundrett.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 11th, in the Swan Funeral Home, 825 Boston Post Road, Madison. A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 12th, directly in St. Margaret’s Church, 24 Academy Street, Madison. Following Mass there will be a Celebration of Life luncheon at 2:00 p.m. in the Westbrook Elks Lodge, 142 Seaside Avenue, Westbrook. Burial will take place at 11:30 a.m. Monday, May 16th, in West Cemetery, Boston Post Road, Madison.
