Robert David Wood Jr.

Robert was born in Stamford Ct in 1938 to the late Robert Wood Sr. and Ronnie Mary Arasin. He attended Catholic schools in Waterbury and received his BS and MS degrees from Western Connecticut State University. He worked as an educator in the Plainville, CT school system. He also served in the United States Air Force, Pacific Fleet, in Hawaii, where he received several distinguished service medals.

Robert was pre-deceased by his first wife, Gladys and his son, David R. Wood. He is survived by his daughter Suzanne Wood and his present wife, Elizabeth (Bonnie) Browne and her children, James McVey and Marybeth Keric.

Robert was a well-known educator and principal in the Plainville school system, where he was instrumental in developing audio-visual material for his teachers to use in the classroom.

He and Bonnie married in 2021 and moved to Madison, CT.

His funeral mass will be at 10:00 in the morning at St. Margaret Church in Madison, CT with military honors on October 27th, 2023.

A private burial will be held on Saturday, October 28th, 2023 at St. James Cemetery in Naugatuck, CT.
