Stu lived a full life-out on the water of the Long Island Sound, fishing, boating and enjoying everything the salty water gave to him.
In addition to fishing, Stu was a skilled mechanic with an engineer’s mind. He could build almost anything, including the home he constructed himself from the foundation up.
Stu was an avid NASCAR enthusiast traveling for years, by car, to Daytona to watch the races always getting behind his Intimidator idol.
His garage was always open to anyone who needed help fixing a lawn mower or snow thrower.
Stu is survived by his wife, Maryblaise, daughters Brenda Ragona, Sharon Apgar and Deborah Larson and Grandson, Stuart Jillson.
There will be a celebration of Stu’s life held August 15th, 2026 at 11AM at the First Congregational Church of Madison, CT.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that people actively donate blood and platelets to the American Red Cross.
