Terhi, this is for you to say to yourself.
"My dad's suffering was not his life; for he is not gone.
I am his life's smile; and for that, I hear his song"

May the lifetime of happy memories erase this time of pain.

Terhi and Tim, you have my heartfelt sympathy and prayers.

We bought our first house and lived across the street from Tom for 12 years. He loved his motorcycles and would love to talk about the ones he owned and the wants he wanted to buy. He was very proud of both his children and would tell us what they were up to. After we moved, I would stop and talk to Tom outside the the Madison Coffee shop. We will miss his gravelly voice and his updates about his children. Our condolences to Tim and Terhi.

I'll never forget Mr. Alford singing the Like a Virgin lyrics by Madonna when my sister and I had a sleep over with Terhi when we were kids. That memory still makes me smile. :-)

Terhi and Timo-you have my deepest sympathies for the loss of your dad.

I worked with Tom at the Blue Trail Range. I much enjoyed hearing of Tom's days as a fighter pilot and then a commercial pilot. Tom certainly lived a full life. He often talked about his beloved cats also, I will remember Tom as a great and kindhearted man....

Tommy was my childhood hero. He flew planes, rode motorcycles, and his life to me always seemed to be a beautiful adventure. Though we only saw each other a handful of times when I became an adult,I was always struck by his kindness, intelligence and his magnificent ability to hold people captive with his storytelling -- all true stories. I am proud Tommy was and is my cousin. He was a unique and courageous man, no one else like him. I love you, Tommy. So very much. My deep condolences to Terhi and Tim and Wayne. I love you all. ~ Lorian
