Visitation will be held on Saturday October 13, 2018 from 3:00 p.m. until time of funeral service 4:00 p.m. St. David's Episcopal Chuch 16200 West 12 Mile Road. Southfield, Mi. 48076. Burial will take place on Monday, October 15, 2018 1:00 p.m. at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Southfield, MI.

Al was born November 3, 1924 in St. Louis, MO to Alfons F Uriwal and Susan Cunningham Uriwal. He graduated from Soldan High School in 1941 and received his bachelor's degree from Rolla School of Mines in 1949, He enlisted in the Army Air Corps in 1942 and served as a lead B-17 navigator at RAf Grafton Underwood serving 30 missions. As a World War II veteran, he was the recipient of the Distinguished Flying Cross.
He married Margaret Eggen of February 5, 1949 and lived in Royal Oak, Mi. until her death in 1963. He was remarried July 9, 1965 to Bertila Rodriguez. He worked as a metallurgist and retired from General Dynamics Tank Division in 1989. He was involved in the Knights of Columbus and St. Vincent de Paul Society. His retirement years were spent in Florida where he enjoyed golfing, gardening, wine and beer making. He was an avid reader as well.
Al was preceded in death by his spouse of 52 years, Bertila, and his son William R. Uriwal. He is survived by his daughters Kathleen T. Graham and Susan C. Danaher. He was a devoted grandfather to his five grandchildren: James R. (Edith) Graham II, Thomas J. (Jill) Graham, Megan K. (John) Lytle, Richard Sean (L. Claire) Danaher and Stuart Brandon Danaher. He was loved dearly by his seven great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
William R. Uriwal (Bill) of Livonia, Mi. died unexpectedly at the age of 65 on October 3, 2018 in Livonia. Funeral services were held on Saturday October 13, 2018 at St. David's Episcopal Church in Southfield, MI. Visitation was held prior to the funeral service. Bill was interned with his father Alfons at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
Bill was born in Castelpollard, Ireland on July 1, 1953. He was the son of Alfons F. and Margaret Eggen Uriwal. Bill graduated in 1972 from Kimball High School, Royal Oak, MI. and received an associate's degree from Oakland Community College. He was employed at several country clubs. He enjoyed golf, the Detroit Tigers, the Red Wings and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish football team.
Bill is preceded in death by his mother and father. He is survived by his Sisters Susan C. Danaher and Kathleen T. Graham, niece Megan K. (John) Lytle, nephews James R. (Edith) Graham II, Thomas J. (Jill) Graham, Richard Sean (L. Claire) Danaher, Stuart Brandon Danaher and many cousins, great-nieces and great-nephews.
