Alice was the beloved wife of the late Albert Wehner, with whom she shared more than 50 years of marriage until his passing in 2013. She was the devoted mother of Brian (the late Vicki) Wehner, Karen (Robert) Hartman, Donna (Robert) Barrett, and Alan (Paula) Wehner. Alice was the cherished grandmother of Jennifer, Connie (Rob), Brandi, Janice (Nina), Kelly (Mike), Renee, Grace (Tommy), Shane, and Blake (fiancé Lauren); loving great-grandmother of Kayla, Brandon, Damon, Kara, Christian, Jason, Haylee, Bowen, Stella, Charlotte, Alice, and Lucy; and proud great-great-grandmother of Nova. She was the dear sibling of Lucille (the late Roman) Glaza, the late Leonard (the late Shirley) Holdwick, MaryAnn (LaVern) Volmering, the late Eleanor Messing, and Larry (Linda) Holdwick. Alice is also survived by her dedicated caregiver, Donna, who became a cherished part of the family.
Alice found joy in life’s simple pleasures and especially treasured her home in Sebewaing, where she felt most at peace. She enjoyed crafting and gardening, taking great pride in the flowers and gardens she nurtured. When Alice had visitors over, she often took them out to the garden, showing off her blooms with joy and enthusiasm. When she wasn't busy with the garden, she could often be found looking out the window, enjoying the sights of nature — deer passing through, birds gathering, and squirrels at play. Alice always brightened up around pets and young children, who were naturally drawn to her gentle spirit, and she cherished the peaceful evenings spent watching the sun set over the bay with her family. She also enjoyed a good garage sale, finding rare and unique items.
Alice will be remembered for her love of home, playing cards with her family, her appreciation for the small joys of life, and the warmth and kindness she shared with all who knew her.
