TO MY FRATT family and others,UNCLE TONY was one of a kind I have known  him sense1989 when I became part of the Family. he was funny  and I liked his way with words.the first time I was in Detroit I was driving he keep telling me to follow my nose, and turn. turn after we past the street. etc, when I visit him over the years at the nursing homes or while he lived with Susan he was always happy to see me and would talk fast and tell me about WV. and the years I missed with the Fratts. he called me "Morgan" .. uncle Tony  Thanks for the special bond we had, and I well always remember you. Dear Uncle Tony, I have very many fond memories of being at your house as a child. I remember you playing with us as a dad plays with his children. Taking us places we didn't normally get to go, like the mall, seeing Santa Claus etc. Thank you for always being there for all of us kids & my mom when we needed you. I have many memories of you playing cards, dancing & going to the VFW, and your  strong honor to your country. You will be missed  by all.

Dear Uncle Tony, You were a great uncle to us Piccalo children &  a great older brother to our Mom, Rose. Thank you for all the times you picked our Mom & us children up & took us to Oakland Mall to visit Santa & when we would spend the night keeping us entertained by playing games with us.Thank you for so many fun times & memories & always looking out for your sister Rose. I will see you again in Heaven. Love your niece, ! Lori

My family sitting at Mr. Fratt's table with his family.  It happened many times. Can you imagine that crowded kitchen?  That's just the way he and Edith liked it. She would always say: "Come into the kitchen."  I can still here Mr. Fratt saying: "Put some more sauce on that." I can still smell that sauce!! It was good gravy every time. Tony and his family looked at our family as their own and the Purifoy's have always felt a huge sense of privilege and are eternally indebted  for this extended hand from 3 doors down. My dad and I have been on many mushroom hunts with Tony and the boys.  We would always come home with a large basket full and immediately begin the canning process with Tony's recipe that included tomatoes and green peppers.  That's another phantom aroma that still surrounds me when I think about those golden times. Mr. Fratt was one of the most patriotic people you will ever meet.  He knew what a great country this was having seen a country that didn't have the blessings and freedoms that the United States had.  He participated on Flag day and was very active on Memorial day and Veteren's day. The only other flag you would see on his house between those holidays was the New York Yankees flag. What a wonderful man who was so good to the Purifoys and I'm sure my story is yours too if you lived close by.  I hope he and my dad are in heaven right now, hunting mushrooms together.  I can assure you, Tony is telling Dad to "step lightly".

uncle tony you will be missed by all. you were a wonderful husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather and friend , everyone who had the pleasure of meeting this man he was something else, always told me as a young child "E" and "fig", I will always cherish those memories, just wish I had more of them. rest in peace uncle tony. love you.
