Chris was born on March 27, 1962, at Mt. Carmel Mercy Hospital in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Victor Demark and Elizabeth Helen Balas. He spent his childhood and school years in the Madison Heights area, attending elementary at St. Dennis Church and School, middle school at John Page, 9th grade at Bishop Foley, and Lamphere High School.
He went on to SEOVEC trade school becoming a dedicated tradesman, Chris built a remarkable career as a pipe fitter and maintenance man, serving the Metro Detroit community for 46 years. His strong work ethic, skill, and commitment to his craft earned the respect of coworkers and colleagues throughout his career. He concluded his professional journey as a Senior Maintenance Associate with Dana Incorporated (Warren, MI).
While Chris took great pride in his work, his greatest joys were found outside of it. He loved spending time with his family, enjoying a day on the golf course, cheering on his beloved Detroit sports teams—the Lions, Red Wings, and Tigers—caring for his animals, and maintaining a beautiful yard that reflected the pride he took in everything he did. Whether helping a friend, sharing a laugh, or simply enjoying time around a fire listening to music with those he loved, Chris left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Chris is survived by his loving wife Pamela Demark; his devoted son Victor Demark (Keri); his caring stepchildren Roy Kersey, Matthew Kersey (Leah) & Amy Primm; his sister Paula Demark; his brother Paul Demark (Karen); and his cherished grandchildren Ava Demark, Christian & Ethan Primm, & Dennis Kersey.
Chris will be remembered for his hard work, loyalty, sense of humor, and the deep love he had for his family. His presence will be profoundly missed, but the memories he created and the lives he touched will remain forever in the hearts of those who loved him.
Forever loved. Forever remembered.
