Claude Elbert Parks

Claude Elbert Parks, age 89 of Warren, Michigan went home to heaven on October 30, 2018 with family gathered at his bedside. Mr. Parks had been ill for a number of years recovering from a stroke. Claude was born August 9, 1929, in Moore County, Tennessee, the son of the late Frank and Mamie (Spencer) Parks. Claude attended schools in Moore County, he was known as "Mr. Fixit" by family and friends, he enjoyed fixing anything that was broken. He loved his family and was the happiest when they were all at his home for get-togethers. Claude was a long time member of Calvary Baptist Church (Landmark) in Hazel Park, Michigan, and presently a member of Ambassador Baptist Church, Royal Oak, Michigan. Mr. Parks retried from Ford Motor Company in 1996. He was preceded in death by his sisters Lela West, Clara Norman, Faye Carroll, his brother Frank Wilburn Parks, his niece Linda West McNabb of Georgia, and his brother-in-law Albert (Delene) Stone. Claude is survived by his wife, Alberta, his sons Wilburn Parks of Troy, Michigan and Wendell (Pam) Parks of Troy, Michigan. Grandfather of David Parks of Metamora, Michigan, Jamie (Gregg) Roberts of Asheville, N.C. Amanda (John) Cece of Troy, Michigan, Paige and Madison Parks of Troy, Michigan. Great Grandfather of Brendan and Marisa Parks of Oxford, Michigan, Alexa Coury and Emily Roberts of Ashville, N.C., Isabella & Roman Cece of Troy, Michigan. Brother of Juanita Tipps of Lynchburg, TN, Emma Parks of Chattanooga, TN. Uncle of Norman (Debbie) Parks of Lynchburg, TN. Kathy (Stanley) Baker of Moore County, TN. Joan (Les) Reardon of Chattanooga, TN. Connie Crow of Winchester, Debbie (Marty) Jones of North Carolina, and Shelia Carroll (Richard) Korski. Brother -in-law of Lynda (the late Glen) Phillips, of Shelbyville. Uncle of Cyndy Stone Allen and Robin Stone of Murfreesboro, and his niece Glenda (Jonathan) Nelms of Cookeville and nephew Richard (Becky) Phillips of Franklin. Claude is also survived by many great nieces and nephews and he loved them all.
