Craig was born on March 28, 1962 in Mt. Clemens, Michigan to the late Vincent, Sr. and Naomi Mitchell.
Craig found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He loved watching movies with his dogs at his side, diving into video games, and spending time in the kitchen cooking meals meant to be shared. A good whiskey was always appreciated, especially when paired with great conversation and laughter. Known for his excellent sense of humor, Craig's teasing will live on in all he loved.
He had a lifelong passion for fast sports cars and motorcycles, and he often spoke fondly of his favorite trip to Hawaii—a place that clearly held a special spot in his heart. Craig was a wealth of knowledge, always eager to share what he knew, and he did so with kindness and enthusiasm. Above all, he had a huge heart and cared deeply for those around him.
Craig’s memory will live on through the stories told, the laughter shared, and the love he gave so freely. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
Craig is survived by his partner, Michael Allport; his siblings: Anita Ulmer, LaVerne (Allen) Pugh, and Kennard Mitchell; his beloved canine companions, Buddy and Blue; along with many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, extended family members, and friends. He was preceded in passing by his parents, Vincent, Sr. and Naomi Mitchell; brothers, Rodney Mitchell and Vincent Mitchell, Jr.; and dogs, Chasey and Casey.
