Donna Jean Rickabaugh

February 15, 1948 – January 13, 2021

Rickabaugh, Donna Jean, formally of West Bloomfield Twp., passed away on January 13, 2021 at age 72. She was the beloved daughter of the late James and Elvin Rickabaugh; sister of James (Patti) Rickabaugh of Sterling Heights, Robert (Sherry) Rickabaugh of N. C. and John (Rosamond) Rickabaugh of White Lake. She is also survived by 30 nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on January 29, 2021 at Edward Swanson and Son Funeral Home, 30351 Dequindre, Madison Heights.

I knew Donna through the Metro-Detroit Book and Author Society. I admired the jewelry pieces she made and have several of them. We had a mutual love of animals and shared tales our dogs and cats. When I had a semi-feral cat that I rescued with her kittens, she took Prickles. I have often wondered how things have gone with the kitty, but had no way to contact Donna after she retired from the Library. Her passing has just become known to me. So sorry to hear of her passing at such a young age.
