Herbert Joseph Jenuwine, 96, lifelong resident of Warren, passed away in his sleep on Friday, August 1, 2025, at American House Park Place. He was born at home on April 29, 1929, in Warren Township, now the City of Warren, Michigan.
Mr. Jenuwine graduated from Warren High School in 1950. He served in the U.S. Army in Korea from 1951 through 1953. He married Helen Campagiorni on April 23, 1960, in Detroit, and together they raised their family in Warren. He retired from Ford Tractor Division Romeo in January 1987 after 35½ years of employment.
He was a founding member of St. Louise de Marillac Catholic Church in Warren and a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus Council 8186 there. He enjoyed singing in the St. Louise choir and the Warren Community Chorus, gardening, and jigsaw puzzles.
Mr. Jenuwine is survived by his loving children, Mary (Victor) Costello of Shelby Township and Daniel (Elizabeth) Jenuwine of Troy; grandchildren Mark (Tracey), Zachary (Sarah), Michael, and Natalia; great-grandchildren Henry, Wesley, and Cameron; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his loving wife of 53 years, Helen; his parents, Sylvester and Agnes (nee Scheich); brother Charles and his wife Barbara, sister Barbara and her husband Frank Helfrick, and sister Margaret and her husband Charles Wizner; and brothers- and sisters-in-law Anna Corridori, Alfred Campo, Ida Campagiorni and Orlando Campagiorni.
The family will greet guests from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm with a 7:00 pm Rosary Service on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at Edward Swanson & Son Funeral Home, 30351 Dequindre Rd., Madison Heights, Michigan.
Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:00 am on Friday, August 8, 2025, at St. Louise de Marillac Catholic Church, 2500 12 Mile Rd., Warren, Michigan. Entombment with military honors following at Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Township.
