Grandad was a very special man in my life. I am already missing him. I will forever love him dearly. He meant the world to me. I have thousands of memories, but one i would like to share would be a silly one. He was known for being a joker! When i was little i stayed at his house on the weekends. Nana and Grandad both liked to play tricks on me. I would get ready for bed, and i would wear one of his white undershirts to sleep in. It was like a nightgown on me! I'd climb in bed and they'd both tuck me in one at a time then leave me to sleep. Well, when i rolled over and felt something cold and slimy in bed with me needless to say i flew out of bed freaking out! I told nana there was something in the bed, and she told grandad to go look to see what it was. Well i was standing in the doorway watching as he grabbed what looked to be a snake! ! He turned and yelled, "its a snake"!!!! So i started screaming, and running away through the house while he proceeded to chase me with it.  Nana rescued me in a big hug in the kitchen, while Grandad was chuckling in the living room with tears in his eyes. To then show me it was just Grandad's belt!! He had dipped it in water, froze it, and slipped it between the sheets. Silly silly!!! He was such a practical joker, and she was his accomplice.  I miss them both. 💔❤💔

Having grown up in New York I didn’t get to see Uncle James often. But at my mom’s family reunions in Kentucky every summer we got to see him. Uncle James always met you with a broad smile and a kind word. He was the strong silent type but you just knew that he loved you. That’s the reason why he was my favorite Uncle, because he made me feel important and safe. I will always have fond memories of him and know that he’s in Heaven with all of his loved ones. Rest In Peace Uncle James until we meet again. 

So many sweet memories from summer visits to Kentucky, James, Sue and Jerri.  James parents were our neighbors, they were the best neighbors. I was always included in the activities that were planned during their visit. They treated me like family. Jerri and I have been friends for so long, I don't remember not knowing her. 
He was a great man that will be missed greatly. So sorry for your loss. Sending love and prayers.

I remember what a great guy Uncle Mitch was to me and my brothers when I was a kid.  He taught me how to ride a bike. I loved him very much.

So much sympathy :(    I don't have any words to say.  We count it as such an honor to have met him.
