Born in Detroit on April 7, 1944, Linda was an only child preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Rosa Jannuzzi. She was a devout Catholic who took pride in her Italian roots. Linda graduated from Mercy High School and earned her degree from Mercy College with a focus on teaching. Her passion and dedication led to a lifelong career as an elementary school teacher for Warren Consolidated Schools and eventually Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic School in Grosse Pointe Woods.
A beloved wife, Linda shared a deep and loving partnership with her late husband, Fred Karolski, for 54 wonderful years. Together, they brought two devoted sons into the world, Ken (Angela) and Jeff (Sarah), and were blessed with four grandchildren whom she adored: Courtney, Ashley, Sabine, and Quinn. Linda is also survived by her loving niece and goddaughter Julie Bourbonnais (Rick Metcalf), great-niece Izzy, Brother-in-law Tom (the late Dianne), nephews David and Marty (Emily), as well as a treasured circle of extended family and friends.
Linda cherished faith, family, and friends above all else. She was a devoted member of St. Vincent Ferrer church for nearly fifty years and held lifelong friendships dating back to high school, with whom she regularly gathered (The Mercy Girls). Her gentle, giving, and playful nature, paired with her contagious laughter, will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
Her family will receive friends at Edward Swanson & Son Funeral Home, 30351 Dequindre (one block south of 13 Mile Road) in Madison Heights, Michigan 48071, on Sunday, March 24, 2024 from 2:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m., with a scripture service at 7:00 p.m.
