Christine was born to Abelardo Bayle Busque and Aida Agduma Busque on May 24th, 1972 in Makati, Manila in the Philippines, and moved to the United States in 1976.
An independent, headstrong and vibrant personality from the beginning, Christine was an exemplary student and musician. Christine graduated from Madison High School, in Madison Heights, Michigan as co-valedictorian. She immediately went on to study and graduate from Wayne State University in Detroit with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Public Relations.
A proud and long-time resident of Detroit, she was heavily involved in Detroit’s music, arts, and comedy scenes as she was a huge supporter of the humanities and women’s empowerment.
An avid animal lover, Christine volunteered her time to helping neglected and abused animals in Detroit and adopted many pets in need. Her love of cats knew no bounds and she was recently a devoted mother to four adorable cats, Silman, Solo, Petey, and Frankie.
Her career was almost exclusively at non-profit organizations such as the American Red Cross and the University of Detroit Mercy. This includes a wonderful 30-year stint at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Grosse Pointe Park, Michigan.
Christine is survived by her siblings, Abelardo Busque Jr (Sara Jean Baker), and Emmanuel Joseph Busque (Rose), nephews Owen James, Elliott Bayle, Henry James and niece Maevis Angelica Rose and is predeceased by her parents, Abelardo and Aida and sister, Angelica Mary.
