Marie A. Pruneda

Marie was a devoted wife and mother who took great pride in caring for her family while also spending many years working at Meijer. She found happiness in the simple things in life—gardening, flowers, and spending time with family and friends. She loved to bake, and her poppyseed cake became a familiar tradition at holidays and family gatherings. She could often be found alongside Luie in the kitchen, helping prepare meals for the people they loved. Marie loved tapping to the beat of the music, dancing, and a good party, and those who knew her will remember her happy spirit, her unmistakable laugh, and the joy she found in simply being together.

Beloved wife of the late Luis “Luie” Ramirez Pruneda, with whom she shared 60 years of marriage; devoted mother of Teresa (Edward) Twardzik, John Pruneda, and Lisa (Albert) Cook; cherished grandmother of Amanda Janney, Ashley (Matthew) Ball, and Alex (Sharon) Twardzik; and dearest great-grandmother of Dylan, Layla, Evert, Elton, Emma, and Myles. She is also survived by her siblings, Leona and Larry, and many extended family members.

Marie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Luie, and her siblings, Jerome and Marty.
