Marletta "Jean" Gerios

As the youngest of 15 children, Marletta “Jean” Gerios, age 89, of Warren, passed away September 17, 2022. Beloved wife of George Gerios for 45 years. Marletta Jean was a gardener, chef, interior decorator and an athlete. Jean loved the outdoors and traveled together with her family. She loved her home in Warren and spent the winters at her oceanside condo in Florida. She was an extraordinary planner and enjoyed being the social director and improvising memorable experiences for all she loved.

Loving mother of Donald (Janine) Brinkman, Karen (Jeff) Houtteman, Susan (Kirk) Eschenburg. Predeceased by her sons Mark Brinkman and Ernest Brinkman. Stepmother of Lisa (John) Rohl, Gail Gerios, Beth (Jonathan) Brew and Steven (Lisa) Gerios. Proud grandmother of Kellee, Kristin, Katie, Emma, Jeffrey, Benjamin, Rachel, Erica, Evan, Alaric, Eric, Stephen, Sarah, Daniel, Matthew and Veronica and great-grandmother of Jack, Marley, Harlow and Cooper. Dearest sister of Betty. Predeceased by her siblings Eleanor, Minnie, Dorothy, Emily, Dolores, Emil, William, Henry, Gerald, Carl, Elmer and Lester. Visitation will be Thursday from 3pm until 8pm at Edward Swanson and Son Funeral Home, 30351 Dequindre Road, Madison Heights. In state on Friday from 9:00a until Funeral Service at 10:00a Amazing Grace Lutheran Church, 29860 Dequindre Road, Warren.
