Myron Anthony Jarrett

Officer Myron Anthony Jarrett was born on August 8, 1976 at Detroit Memorial Hospital to Colette Jarrett and Alvin Louis. He departed this life on Friday, October 28, 2016 in Sinai Grace Hospital in Detroit, Michigan

Myron was a 1994 graduate of Southeastern High School and also briefly attended Wayne State University. He loved sports and played baseball and ran cross country. In 2008 he entered the police academy and became a Detroit Police Officer.

Myron was the husband of Sacha Farelle Nicole (Johnson) Jarrett, whom he met and fell in love with during their senior year in high school. Sacha and Myron began their union on March 10, 1994 and went on to marry on October 11, 1999. They were together a total of 22 years and celebrated their 17-year wedding anniversary on October 11, 2016. They both accepted Christ as the head of their lives and lived according, always praying and putting the Lord first.

Myron loved his job and told his wife that he treated the citizens of Detroit with respect, because this is what they deserved from their Police department. We have lost a true gentleman.

He leaves to celebrate and cherish his memory his loving wife Sacha, his oldest son Christian, daughter Caitlin, son Cameron and his youngest daughter Cassidy, who all were his heart. He also leaves behind his mother Colette Jarrett, his father Alvin Louis, brothers Michael Jarrett, Marion Jarrett, Justice El, and Alvin Louis, Jr. Two sisters Rashelle Taylor and Narobi Louis; Mother in-law Toni Johnson, Father in-law Gregory Moore, Grandmother in-law Jean Reece.

Grandmother Margaret Henrietta Jarrett and Grandfather Daniel Webster Jarrett, Grandmother in-law Bettie Ruth Williams, Grandfather in-law John Williams, all preceded Myron in death. He also leaves to cherish his memory a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and the entire Detroit Police Department. Myron will be cherished and remembered in the hearts of many forever.

The family hour is on Saturday November 5, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. and friends may visit and pay their respects to Officer Jarrett from 2:00 until 9:00 p.m. at Edward Swanson & Son Funeral Home. Additionally, on Sunday, November 6, 2016 friends may visit from 2:00 - 9:00 p.m. On Monday, November 7, 2016 there will be a family hour from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. (Noon) at Second Ebenezer Church - 14601 Dequindre Road, Detroit, Michigan 48212. The funeral service will begin at Noon. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery (Woodward at State Fair).
