Born on July 14, 1940, in Oneida, Kentucky, to Paul V. and Mattie Darling, Paul was raised in Michigan and was a devoted husband, proud family man, and a friend to many.
He married the love of his life, Dollie Hankins, on December 16, 1961, in Oak Park, Michigan. Together, they built a life centered around love, hard work, and family.
Paul dedicated 42 years of his professional life as an engineer at Chrysler, retiring in 2007. Known for his steady hand and problem-solving mind, he took great pride in his work and the many relationships he built over the years.
Outside of work, he had a passion for the simple joys in life. He loved spending time outdoors fishing, hitting the golf course, and enjoying a good game of bowling. More than anything, he cherished the time spent with his growing family.
