Christmas and Easter were always spent with our Grand Parents, and Uncle Bob when he wasn't away in his Navy years was always an important element in making that time special. Nothing was more formative than hanging around after dinner to listen to the state of America as set down by the wise elders of the family. The Brunk and Hughes families have always been eager to share an opinion-in one sitting you could always count on hearing all sides of an issue, and when Grandpa was at the table it was never whispered.
Like brother Larry we have long mourned the loss of cousin Scott and now with Uncle Bob's passing the last elder to sit around that table -Aunt Ann-has lost the most.
We all share the Brunk family loss and wish we could have made it to Detroit.
Requiem in Pacem Uncle Bob.

Our deepest condolences to Ann and your family. I am the daughter of Catherine Wehage Jurgens and live in Humboldt Saskatchewan Canada, we have met previously at reunions in Park Rapids and Portland, the latest in Portland in 2011, I believe. It was after this trip home that Mom Catherine passed away. I have a lot of good memories of our visits, you were both very interesting cousins and it has been a pleasure to know you both. Missed you this July in Portland, but remembered you in our prayers. God bless you Ann and family. God keep you well and in his care. Darlene Jurgens Cash Box 1680 Humboldt, Sask., Canada S0K2A0 Lov
