Born on November 25, 1963, in Warren, Michigan, Bob was raised in Madison Heights and graduated from Lamphere High School. He went on to spend many years in supervisory roles at local gas stations, but those who knew him best would say his greatest accomplishments were found at home with the people he loved.
Above all else, Bob was a devoted family man. A beloved partner, father, grandfather, brother, and proud dog dad, he cherished every opportunity to spend time with his family. He especially took great joy in making memories with his children and grandchildren, whose lives were forever enriched by his love, guidance, and unwavering support.
Bob also had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and looked forward to traveling up north whenever he could, especially to the Escanaba and Sault Ste. Marie areas, where he found peace, relaxation, and countless happy moments with those he loved.
Bob leaves behind his loving children, Heather (Dave) Pemberton and their child, Jensen; Jordon (Stephanie) Pemberton; Josh (Colleen) Pemberton and their children, Savannah, Isabella, and Jaxon; Robert (Deanna) Pemberton and their children, Leila, Lorenzo, and Julian; and Kate (Anthony) Pemberton and their children, Grayson and Ava. He is also survived by his siblings, Floyd “Butch” Pemberton, Terry (William) Baldridge, and Bert Pemberton; his cherished partner of ten years, Tony Gouine; and his beloved dog, Connor.
He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Hubert and Irene Pemberton; his infant sister, Charlene Pemberton; and his sister-in-law, Jean Pemberton.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Bob’s life during visitation on Sunday, August 9, 2026, from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Edward Swanson & Son Funeral Home, 30351 Dequindre Road, Madison Heights, MI 48071. Bob will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery in Sault Ste. Marie, MI.
