Ruth was born on January 15, 1931, in Iron River, Michigan. She attended Northern Michigan University and obtained her teaching degree. Ruth devoted 40 years to teaching in Warren Consolidated Schools, retiring only to be there for her grandchildren and watch them grow up. Ruth had a passion for nature, treasuring her memories of growing up in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Though she wasn't especially fond of modern technology, she deeply cherished her family and was a caregiver to all.
Ruth was a beloved spouse to the late Henry Ostrowski; loving mother to Laura Joswiak, Martin, Daniel, Diane, and Michael; dearest grandmother to Jordan (Alice) and Derek; cherished sister to the late Delphine, the late Vincent, the late Norbert and the late David; and wonderful aunt to many nieces and nephews.
