Sharon Bernice Skwiers passed away on June 15, 2026, at the age of 90. She was born in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Walter and Bernice McKenna.

Sharon was a devoted wife for many years to the late Anthony Skwiers before his passing in 2018; loving mother to Colleen Skwiers and Brian (Amy) Skwiers; cherished Nana to Conor; dearest sister to the late Charlene and the late Margaret; and a beloved aunt to countless nieces and nephews who held a special place in her heart.

A dedicated and compassionate registered nurse, Sharon devoted her life to caring for others. She enjoyed a long and fulfilling nursing career, continuing to work until the age of 80. Her kindness, work ethic, and commitment to helping those in need touched the lives of countless patients, colleagues, friends, and family members.

Sharon will be in state on Friday, June 19, 2026, beginning at 9:00 AM until the time of the Funeral Mass at 9:30 AM at St. Rene Goupil Catholic Parish, 35955 Ryan Road, Sterling Heights, MI 48310.
