I offer sincere and deep sympathy to the Stokes family. We had the best time one could imagine growing up on Stoepel Street in Detroit.  We were family, and that will always bring a smile to my face and my heart. The one memory that always crosses my mind is when Mrs. Stokes took us swimming on the Joy Road bus. On the return trip, we did not realize Sharon had fallen asleep. When doing our head count and getting off the bus, we were missing one. We ran screaming behind the bus to no avail. Mrs. Stokes told us not to worry; the driver would bring her back after his turn-around. She told us what time she would be back, which seemed like an eternity. Sure enough, the bus came back as scheduled, and Sharon stepped off. We were so happy that it was unreal. She explained it away as nothing special, in true Sharon fashion. Rest in peace, dear friend. The Summer Family will never forget you and those good times.

My Beloved Family, I am deeply saddened by the passing of our loved one, Sharon.  Sharon comforted me during the loss of my daughter Sacha and continued to comfort me as the days and weeks went by.
