Terry was raised in Hazel Park alongside her brother, Gregory “Chip” Dogwill, and her sister, Jacqueline. She graduated from Hazel Park High School in 1973. In 1976, Terry married the love of her life, Daniel Kearney. This August, they would have celebrated 50 years of marriage together. Terry and Daniel built a beautiful life together and raised two children, Jason and Lindsey.
Terry’s family will remember her for many things, but above all for her unwavering strength, deep love, and devotion to her family. She was a devoted wife caring mother, proud grandmother, and a source of comfort and support to those who knew her.
Terry was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Daniel Kearney; her parents, Marion and Genevieve Dogwill; her brother, Gregory “Chip” Dogwill; and her sister, Jacqueline Murray. She leaves behind many who will cherish her memory, including her children, Jason (Ryan) Kearney and Lindsey (Robert) Hooton III; her grandchildren, Robert IV and Noah; along with many extended family members and dear friends.
Terry’s love, kindness, and strength will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
Visitation will be held at Edward Swanson & Son Funeral Home, 30351 Dequindre Road, Madison Heights, MI 48071, on Thursday May 21, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a rosary at 6:00 PM.
A Committal Service will be held at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Rd, Holly, MI 48442, on Friday, May 22, 2026, at 10:30 AM
