

Thomas was proud to have served his country in the United States Navy, where he was stationed aboard the USS Enterprise. Following his time in the Navy, he continued his dedication to service as a member of the National Guard. Thomas enjoyed spending weekends in Alpena, where he often volunteered alongside local service members and veterans.
He had a great love for the outdoors and especially enjoyed hunting. Animals held a special place in his heart, and he took great joy in caring for them. A hardworking man, Thomas took pride in providing for his family, who meant everything to him. He was known for his generosity, reliability and kind spirit; you could always count on Thomas to lend a helping hand.
Thomas was a devoted husband for 60 years to his dearest Betty Hulbert; cherished father to Donna (Richard) Cramer, Thomas D. Hulbert, and Darlene (Brian) Danhausen; loving grandfather to Donovan (Lauren) Danhousen, Richard Cramer, David Cramer, Jade Danhausen, Matthew Cramer, and great-grandfather to Victor and Clara. Thomas was preceded in death by his granddaughter Sue Anne Cramer, his parents, Thomas Hulbert and Katherine & Regis Miller, and his siblings Mary Doering, Barbara Ridock, Kit Hulbert, William Hulbert, and Mary Kay Kleiss.
