

Born March 12, 1930, he was the son of the late Albert Henry Lee, Sr. and Mary Godsey Lee. Mr. Lee was born, raised, and spent his entire life In Madison Heights. He was the retired owner & operator of Lee’s Tile Company and was a member of the Appomattox Confederacy Museum. He was a member of Unity of the Seven Hills Church.
Mr. Lee was a very gifted and talented man. He was an avid gardener and cook. He built both homes he and his family lived in. He had a special love for music and wrote about a dozen songs, which have been performed by his special friend, Steve Wilson. He songs, including “Beautiful Mountains of Virginia, which he is best known for, can be heard on the WAMV Radio Station.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters, Frances Lee Harris, Ruth Lee Pletzke, Dorothy Lee Flick, and Eunice Lee Brueggemann and four brothers, Albert Henry Lee, Jr., Richard Henry Lee, William Nowlin Lee, and Lawrence Lee.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Lee is survived by three daughters, Lynn Lee Glasser and husband Richard of Alliance, OH, Sandra Pruitt of Lynchburg and Theresa Lee Brennan and husband Daniel of Wake Forest, NC; three grandchildren, Alexander Lee Morris, Anna Lee Brennan, and Natalie Marie Pruitt.
The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 p.m.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at Whitten Monelison Chapel with the Rev. Randy Harlow officiating. Special music will be provided by Steve Wilson. Interment will follow at Meade Cemetery in Madison Heights.
