Ann Litchford Loving

Born December 24, 1922 in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of the late John R. Litchford and Eliza Lawford Litchford and was also preceded in death by three sisters, Joyce, Lois, and Margie Litchford and one brother, Jack Litchford. She was a retired substitute school teacher with Amherst County Public Schools and was a member of Northminster Presbyterian Church and a former member of Elon Presbyterian Church and the Elon Home Demonstration Club. Mrs. Loving was a longtime Sunday School Teacher with both churches.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Loving is survived by one daughter, Helen Elizabeth (Beth) Nelsen and husband, Lou of Polk City, FL; two sons, Elmer H. (Sandy) Loving, III and wife, Becky of Williamsburg and Thomas Gregory (Greg) Loving and wife, Jenny of Plymouth, IN; five grandchildren, Benjamin Loving, Max Loving and wife, Jamie, Rodney Loving and wife, Ashley, Travis Loving, and Jaclyn Loving and one great grandson, Jack Loving.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 6, 2010 at Northminster Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Jeff Porter and the Rev. Wayne Meredith officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Hill Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at the residence.
