

She was born in Lynchburg to loving parents, the late Lonnie and Emma Morris. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Eddie Watts and brothers, Everette Morris, Jimmy Morris, and Lonnie Morris, Jr.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 61 years, Peyton Thomas; her four children, Sharon Power and her children, Todd, Andrew, and Emily; Randy Thomas and his children, Jennifer, Valerie, and Joey; Joanne Lowery and husband Larry and their children, Felice and Andrea; Jeff Thomas and wife Sherri and their children, Scott and Taylor; three great grandchildren; her beloved sister, Janis Hedrick; her brother, Earl Morris; and sister-in-law, Louise Talley.
Ann was a member of Randolph Memorial Baptist Church for 61 years. She retired from Central Virginia Training Center. She was happiest when surrounded by her family. Ann had a true servant’s heart and her memory will be cherished by all who knew her.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at Whitten Monelison Chapel.
A funeral service will be held at 1:30 pm on Thursday, September 21, 2017 at Randolph Memorial Baptist Church, with Dr. Derik Hamby and Dr. Don Norman officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
