Annie Grimes Grimes Boatwright

Born May 9, 1927 in Amherst County, she was the daughter of the late William Brock

and Lora Taylor Grimes and was also preceded in death by four brothers, Buck Huff, Josh Huff, Harold Huff and Brock Grimes. She was a retired hairdresser and beautician and was a member of St. James U.M. Church.

Mrs. Grimes was known for her hospitality. She loved to crochet, quilt, and loved her community and working in the Gladstone Senior Center.

Mrs. Boatwright is survived by her twin sister, Mary “Sis” Grimes of Allen’s Creek; a special niece, who was more like a daughter, Judy Fore and husband Tom of Gladstone; T.J. Fore and Josh Fore, who were like grandsons to her and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 9, 2013 at Whitten Monelison Chapel with the Rev. Allan Monfils officiating. Interment will follow at the Watts Family Cemetery, Allen’s Creek, in Gladstone.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Friday, March 8, 2013 at the funeral home.
