Annie Belle Peters Gray

Born April 23, 1928 in Lexington, VA, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Lizzie Johnson Peters and was also preceded in death by one son, Divers Douglas Jordan; one brother, James Edward Peters and four sisters, Louise Peters Bartley, Alice Peters Hance, Mary Peters Hance, and Corrine Peters Douglas. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Buena Vista.

Mrs. Gray is survived by three daughters, Mary Louise Carter, Anne Gettings, and Magdalene Hunter and husband Samuel Hunter, Jr., all of Buena Vista; one sister, Christine Wallace and her husband, Arthur of Lexington; ten grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a devoted daughter-in-law, Gloria Douglas and many devoted nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 29, 2012 at First Baptist Church in Buena Vista with the Rev. Carl T. Tinsley officiating. Interment will follow at Green Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, June 28, 2012 at the church and other times at the residence.
