I live in Newcastle upon Tyne in the United Kingdom and met Barbara through advertising in Crochet World for doll clothes patterns.
She was married to Charles Nash at that time, we exchanged patterns and Christmas presents for a few years, and talked on the phone when she was sat with Charles after his treatment.
I have her marriage video to Maurice and one year either 2004 or 2006 I was invited to spend a week with her and Maurice. I had a fantastic time, she was the perfect hostess, I met her family, and we went on some lovely trips.
I shall always remember the time I spent with Barbara (she even got me to sing at her church) I have a lot of fond memories, it has been a pleasure to meet, get to know Barbara and to stay with her. Rest in Peace.
