Born February 22, 1937 in Campbell County, she was the daughter of the late Vester and Elizabeth Sprouse Williams. Mrs. Dawson was retired from General Electric and was a member of Randolph Memorial Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Dawson is survived by her son, Mike L. Dawson and wife Tonia of Amherst and her loyal pet, Samantha.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at Meade Cemetery in Madison Heights.
There will not be scheduled visitation hours, but friends are welcome to pay their respects at Whitten Monelison Chapel in Madison Heights.
