

Betty Gail Brooks Miller, 75, of Madison Heights passed away Friday, September 2, 2016, at her residence after a long illness. Born June 26, 1941, in Madison Heights, she was the daughter of the late Edward Franklin Brooks and the late Myrtle Estelle Walker Brooks.
Betty was a store clerk for Miles Market and a member of Madison Heights Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by one daughter, Wanda “Tinkabell” Wheeler.
Betty’s joy in life was to cook for her family.
Betty is survived by her four children, Ted Miller and his wife Barbara of Madison Heights, Stacey Rowland of Madison Heights, Nancy Pollard and her companion Sandy Sale of Lynchburg and Mike Miller of Madison Heights; four siblings, Barbara Stinnette of Spout Springs, Bonnie Ayers of Madison Heights, Becky Lipscomb of Madison Heights and Bub Brooks of Appomattox; seventeen grandchildren, Melissa, Robby, Josh, Nick, Stephanie, Christie, Doug, Lee, Shannon, Angel, Junior, TerriLee, Jonathan, Michelle, Bobby, Beth and Chelsea; thirty-three great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and her sidekick, Pebbles.
The family would like to thank Brenda, Britney, Donnetta and Kathryn of Elite Care Services for their loving care towards Betty. Also a very special thank you goes to the “Rock” of the family, Barbara Miller, who is always a constant help and support to the whole and family.
A graveside service will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 6, 2016, at Meade Cemetery.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Monday, September 5, 2016, at Whitten Monelison Chapel and at other times at Betty’s and Nancy’s residence.
