

He is survived by his parents, Wood and Billie Morcom of Madison Heights. He is also survived by his wife of 44 years, Edna Morcom. They were high school sweethearts, and anyone who knew them knew what tremendous love they shared. They have two daughters, Brianne Sullenger and her husband Ben and Lauren Harrell and her husband Chris all of Madison Heights. He loved his three grandchildren, Alexis Harrell, Claire Harrell and Colson Sullenger deeply. He is also survived by his sister Sandra Nichols and her husband Tim; his sister-in-law, Elois Jennings; nephew, Chris Davis and wife Teresa; nieces, Glenda Ramsey and husband Keith and Teresa Thomas and husband Eric; great nieces and nephews, Skyler, Justin, Jillian, Bailey, Parker & Berkleigh.
He is preceded in death by his grandson Camden Sullenger, his grandparents, Wood and Beulah Morcom and Charlie and Mary Alice Raikes and his father and mother-in-law, Claude and Opal Eubank.
Bobby was an Air Force baby and lived in multiple places within the U.S. and Puerto Rico. After his father retired, he moved to Amherst County and attended ACHS. He then served three years in the US Army with service in Germany and Vietnam where he received a purple heart. He earned a B.S from Virginia Tech in engineering and master’s degree in Business from Lynchburg College. He has been employed at BWXT for forty years, has held multiple management positions, and was currently the Director of NOG Central Planning. Bobby enjoyed traveling and working with his hands and was always doing projects at home. He was a faithful member of Thomas Road Baptist Church where he served as an usher. He will be remembered as a man who loved his family and served his God.
A service celebrating his life will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 3, 2016 at Thomas Road Baptist Church with Pastor Jonathan Falwell officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at Whitten Monelison Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Gideons International or to the Liberty Godparent Home.
