

Born September 20, 1966 in Lynchburg, he was the son of Dorothy Arrington Sandifer and the late Eugene Otis Sandifer and was also preceded in death by a brother, Eugene Otis Sandifer, Jr.
Brian was a member of New Beginning Tabernacle.
In addition to his wife and mother, Brian is survived by his daughter Jessica Alexandra Sandifer of Amherst: two brothers, Darrell K. Sandifer and wife Wanda of Monroe and Gregory S. Sandifer and wife Joann of Madison Heights; his mother and father-in-law, Patricia and James Gordon Maxey of Powhatan, VA; a sister-in-law, Victoria Lawrence Norton and husband Thomas of Jupiter, FL; nieces and nephews, Dara, Brett, Kinsley, and Layney Sandifer and a great niece, Grayson Brooke Sandifer.
“Moe” also leaves to cherish his memory, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He will be greatly missed by all his special family members and friends, far too many to mention by name.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at Whitten Monelison Chapel with Pastor John Sines officiating and Mr. John P. Jones, Eulogist. Interment will follow at the Mt. Gilead U.M. Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8:30 p.m., Monday, November 18, 2013 at the funeral home and other times at the residence.
The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to Dr. Neil Ready and Jennifer Tenhover, NP, at Duke University, Dr. Michael Milam, and Dr. Rick Bendall for the wonderful care they provided during Brian’s seven year battle with cancer and the Angus family for all they have done for Brian, over the years.
