

Brogan Thomas Franklin, 23, of Elon, passed away Thursday, October 30, 2014, from injuries received in an automobile accident. Bobo/Brogy/BFrank was born April 29, 1991, in Lynchburg; he was the son of Wendell Gregory Franklin and Paula Smith Linkous; and his stepfather, Dicky Linkous.
Brogan was an English teacher at William Campbell High School, and a member of Bethany United Methodist Church. He was a loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, boyfriend and friend.
In addition to his parents, Brogan is survived by loving girlfriend, Katie Stauffer; his brother, Jason Gregory Franklin and his girlfriend Chanda Kaluszka of Lake City, FL; his stepbrother, Drew Linkous of Raleigh, NC; paternal grandparents, H.C and Shirley Franklin; maternal grandparents, Betty Smith and Tom Smith and his wife Judy; aunts and uncles, Debbie and Roger Peters of Madison Heights, Clinton and Sherry Franklin of Virginia Beach, Annette and Wayne Middleton of Elon, Betsy Smith of Baltimore, MD, Susan and Frank Adams of Roanoke and Jay and Patty Smith of Trussville, AL; and numerous cousins and loving friends.
A memorial service will be conducted, 1:00 p.m., Sunday, November 2, 2014, at Lynchburg College – Snidow Chapel with the Rev. Shin Woo Hong and the Rev. Barry Tucker officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
