Carlton Timothy "C.T." Wingfield

Carlton Timothy “C.T.” Wingfield, 58, of Madison Heights, passed away suddenly, Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at his residence. He was the loving and devoted husband of SherriDuff Wingfield. Born November 4, 1959 in Lynchburg, he was the son of Jeane Tyree Wingfield of Madison Heights and the late Carlton Lee Wingfield and was also preceded in death by his twin sons, Thomas and Timothy Wingfield and his brother, Steven Blake Wingfield. C.T. was the owner & operator of Wingfield Real Estate and Auction Services, Inc. in Madison Heights. He was a member of Randolph Memorial Baptist Church. “Pops” was a family man, who rallied behind his children in any endeavor they chose. He was always willing to help or guide those in need and he loved serving his community in many ways. Always pulling for the underdog, he was a dedicated season ticket holder for UVA football and a relentless Miami Dolphin fan. From early childhood, C.T. loved NASCAR and racing and the way he drove his Suburbans, he often thought he was a part of the Wood Brothers racing team. He was at his “happy place” on the golf course. The sunshine, the short “drives”, long putts and comradery of dear friends, made it a hard place for him to stay away from. In addition to his wife and mother, C.T. is survived by five children, Leslie I. Camden (Shane), Carlton T. Wingfield, Jr. (Jess), Lauren E. Overstreet (Ricky), and Phillip Michael Wingfield (Jennifer Hill), all of Madison Heights, and Micheal P. Cooper (Nikki Massie) of Charlottesville; his sister, Melanie W. Woods (Wesley) of Madison Heights; eight grandchildren, Aiden, Addy, Acelyn, Trey, Allie, Bella, Griffin, and Mya; a special friend, Jonathan Miles and lifelong friend, Tommy Green. A service to celebrate C.T.’s life will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Randolph Memorial Baptist Church with the Rev. Steven Blake Wingfield, Jr. and the Rev. Dr. Derik Hamby officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park. Whitten Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Monelison Chapel is serving the family.
