Obituary of Charles Randolph Beasley
Charles Randolph Beasley, 93, of Madison Heights passed away Saturday, July 5, 2014 at the Oaks of Lynchburg. He was the husband of the late Lillian Tyree Beasley. Born in Campbell County, December 25, 1920, he was a son of the late Charles Goodman Beasley and Clara Lillian Bryant Beasley. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and was retired from Babcock & Wilcox after 30 years of service. He was also a charter member of Randolph Memorial Baptist Church. Randolph was an avid bowler and loved to fish but he also loved working on his farm in Madison Heights raising cattle, hay and a huge garden. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Charles Keith Beasley. He is survived by one son, Gary Beasley and his wife Betty and one daughter, Wanda B. Clements and her husband Dwayne all of Madison Heights; his daughter in law, Virgie Beasley of Madison Heights; one sister, Phyllis Willet of Black Jack, MO; one brother, Lin Beasley and his wife Nancy of Lynchburg; six grandchildren, Neal Beasley, Jr. and wife Teresa, Janet Coleman and husband John, Jessica Ofsa and husband Max, Kimberly Dorr and husband David, Nita Hrabosky and husband Chris and Kristi Crowley and husband Chuck and 10 great grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at Randolph Memorial Baptist Church with the Rev. Dan Lee officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Hill Memorial Park with military honors by the American Legion Post 16 officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, July 7, 2014 at Whitten Monelison Chapel and at other times at his residence. The family would like to gratefully acknowledge the wonderful care provided by the staff of the Oaks of Lynchburg and Seven Hills Hospice.
