Dear Lorraine and family,
I was so sorry to hear of Coogie's death. He and I were friends for many years and had paths that crossed on numerous occasions. We were classmates at Va. Tech, both completed Navy flight training and we were in the same pilot new hire class at Piedmont airlines.
I hope that you and your family are consoled by knowing that Coogie was a rock solid man.
The picture in his obituary presents him in a beautiful way.
May he rest in peace.

I was a young Piedmont B-737 co-pilot in the early '80's in our Norfolk crew base. Every trip with Coogie was a pleasure, and I am grateful that I had the opportunity to fly with him. May God comfort you in these times of sorrow.
